Today India has taken a pride of place in the new emerging world order. With its most potent human resource pool, rich natural resources, highly competent educational system, technology driven economic health, India is most promising destination, for the new economic world order.


Today, India aspires to be the global leader in the innovative cutting edge technology, research and development. It is gradually becoming a hub for high-tech education system tapping its own resource of vast human potential to develop industry- ready technocrats. Corporate and Industrial conglomerates are looking towards India for industry aligned professionals.


Major Indian cities are becoming the academic hub for innovative technologies and develop human resource potential. Among them, Mangalore takes the pride of the place, with its commitment to quality education. “Sahyadri Institutions” are flag bearers of a new trend in education where competency, quality, commitment and a truly futuristic vision are the cornerstones laid by the "Bhandary Foundation".


The Bhandary Foundation ® came in to existence in the year 2002 to create, evolve and establish a world class learning facility on the banks of river Nethravathi, at Adyar. Today, the establishment of various Educational Institutions under the name “ Sahyadri” has created new bench marks in the field of education by providing a congenial environment for learning. The Foundation focuses on process of sharpening of skill and talent of young minds who will be the enterprising future architects of our nation. With the development of modern, state of the art, yet aesthetic infrastructure, the Foundation encourages not only basic training but also advanced learning facilities and research in various fields.


The Foundation celebrated its tenth anniversary on 23 March 2013. Managed by the Foundation, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management has become a name to reckon with in the field of technical and management education. It has established a Research Centre approved by the Government of Karnataka. The Incubation Centre, and Placement and Training Centre are supported by the VTU and the industry sector. A Centre of Excellence and Innovation Laboratory has also been set up in collaboration with IIIT, Allahabad.


In order to innovate and integrate new learning order, Research and quality education is given a boost through various collaborations with International Universities like Ghent University, Belgium, and University of Pardubice. Periodic visits by dignitaries from the fields of education, industry, sports, and governance from across the globe, facilitate an interactive knowledge exchange.


Bhandary Foundation® believes in the holistic development of an individual through training the mind and the body. Through its educational institutions, it not only trains the students academically but also helps them keep abreast of developments in their chosen fields and beyond by organizing seminars, workshops, competitions, etc. Equal importance is given to physical fitness through encouragement of sports and the unit of Karnataka State Cricket Academy of Mangalore zone has been set up in the campus to support this objective.


The Foundation has set up a Corpus Fund to promote and encourage deserving students to achieve the best of their abilities.. Recently, Ms. Rashmi Parvathi, seventeen year old scientist of the District, studying at Vivekananda P.U. College, Puttur, was honoured with a cheque for Rs.1.50 Lakh from this Fund to support her interest in Science and Technology. The Corpus Fund functions through the generous contribution of Alumni members, parents, and other stakeholders.


With a vision to build Sahyadri Educational Institutions into a premier educational hub of the nation, Bhandary Foundation® hopes to be a part of the future, progressive, powerful nation that our country aims to become and contribute significantly to the building of the nation that has been envisioned by our great visionary, scientist and the former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
